Concrete Cover Spacers

Cover spacers, also known as cover blocks, are used between reinforcing steel and formwork to achieve the desired concrete cover during and before concrete pouring. They ensure the proper spacing between rebar and steel mesh and the final surface of concrete.

The range of available sizes (20–25mm and 35–50mm) caters for common sizes used in slabs, beams, columns, and footings. Using the correct spacer size ensures proper reinforcement alignment, improves durability, and supports the fire-protection aspects described in the structural design.

Spacing, quantity, and placement should comply with the reinforcement drawings.
